The Never Ending Nausea And How To Make It End
One of perhaps the most frustrating symptoms of Fibromyalgia for me is the never ending nausea. Even on pain free days, the nausea and the feelings of having to throw up are extremely strong. The nausea affects your ability to function and you end up flat on your back in bed, in the dark with a cold rag or washcloth on your forehead.
So, what can you do about the nausea? Well, if it gets really bad, you can ask your doctor for Compazine suppositories, which do help. If you do not have health insurance however, Compazine is simply unaffordable.
There is a product that you can buy over the counter that is sold at Wal-Mart and drugstores. The proudct, meant to treat motion sickness, seems to work well to treat the nausea associated with Fibromyalgia. The product is called Meclizine. Meclizine is the only active ingredient that is used to treat motion sickness that I can confirm also treats the nausea associated with Fibromyalgia.
Meclizine does interfere with some medications, so be sure to ask your doctor or look it up in the Physician’s Desk Reference before you begin taking it. Once again, I am not a doctor, just a Fibromyalgia sufferer who has learned from my experiences dealing with the illness.
Hugs to all!

My mother has a condition that also causes extreme nausea at times. I buy her the same motion sickness medication (from Wal Mart) that you speak of. It is amazing how well it seems to work. It is a real benefit that the cost is low as well.
