A Bad Day Once In Awhile

Published by livinglife at 11:12 pm under Personal Experiences Edit This

You could follow every doctor’s advice, exercise daily, take care of yourself, and take every over the counter product for Fibromyalgia, but you will still have a bad day every once in awhile. What defines a bad day when you have Fibromyalgia? Generally it is a day where you have very little energy, you feel nauseus or dizzy, you might have a stomach ache, you have pain over a good portion of your body, and you just have the blahs all over.

Today was a bad day for me and my Fibromyalgia symptoms. My day was a struggle with nausea, and the normal nausea medications did not seem to help at all today. It was a struggle with pain, and all the vitamins and pain killers in the world could not take the pain away. But most of all, it was a day where I just felt blah, had no energy, and just felt yucky all over.

At one point today, things seemed hopeless. Unfortunately, when you suffer from Fibromyalgia and you allow things to feel hopeless, you begin to believe that things actually are hopeless. The more hopeless the situation seems, the more hopeless you feel, and the more hopeless you feel, the worse your Fibromyalgia symptoms seem to get.

So, what did I do today to bring it all to an end? First, I enjoyed something that I like very much…a vanilla milkshake and french fries from Jack In The Box. Oddly enough it was the only thing I was able to keep down all day when Pop Tarts and canned soup failed. Then, I cuddled with my boyfriend, let him baby me, and hold me in his arms…somehow, the combination of his love and support, combined with comfort food in the form of Jack In The Box made today so much better.

Tonight, my energy level is still low, I am still nauseus, but at least the situation does not seem hopeless. Please always remember that no matter how bad a day might seem when you are suffering from Fibromyalgia, that things will eventually get better and all you have to do is hang in there until they do.

Hugs to all!
